We use a variety of cameras for our projects, but primarily film on Netflix certified cinema cameras. We also utilize a range of specialty cameras from time to time, including aerial drones, GoPros & action cameras, and most recently vintage super8 film cameras (available as an upgrade option).

At the end of the day, it’s never the tools, but how you use them, and what you capture. That’s where Twelve21’s approach in combining cinematography and videography becomes apparent, as we beautifully tell your love story through candid and cinematic footage.

When filming your wedding ceremony, we employ a 3 camera set-up to maximize our coverage.  Two cameras are positioned off to the sides of the ceremony to capture your wedding party, while a 3rd camera is gimbal operated during the ceremony for smooth, cinematic footage. This allows us to film a variety of angles for your highlight film, and ensures we catch as many of those timeless moments as possible. 

In order to use music in a film or video, you need to possess rights to that music.  At Twelve21, we utilize a service called SoundStripe to license our music for your films.  This allows us to avoid any copyright complications for both Twelve21 and you, the client.

We use a questionnaire, as well as our consultation sessions, to get a good feel for your personality and tastes. This allows us to find music that best speaks to the you as couple and the emotional beats of their film.

The great thing about filming weddings is getting to see how differently everyone plans, and what kind of hurdles to expect on the day of a wedding. When you book with Twelve21, you’re not just hiring cinematographers to create your wedding film, you’re also hiring us as Producers. You’re booking us for our expertise, perspectives, and advice. We routinely try to help our clients with their day-of itinerary, speech writing, event planning, and any other number of areas. We’re here to make your film the best it can be, so your memories are preserved exactly the way you want to remember them.

You’ll notice that all of our packages include at least two videographers. This is intentional, and unfortunately we do not offer any ‘solo shooter’ packages. In order for us to remain consistent with our cinematic quality, we employ different audio and lighting solutions that requires multiple sets of hands to move, set-up, and operate. Having two videographers also enables us to greatly expand our coverage and tremendously enhance the quality of your film. 

Yes! We recently introduced Super 8 film video as a part of our available offerings.  Due to the cost of film & development, this is an add-on to all packages. Each reel of film is 3 minutes in length, and is digitally scanned and mastered in 4K resolution.
